Sometimes, nothing’s better than spending a night or two in a classic British pub. At the Ring of Bells, situated in Bishopsteignton in the beautiful setting of South Devon, you can relax, be yourself and do exactly as you please.

Refurbished by new owners Martin & Sarah, our traditional country pub isn’t a typical tourist trap or sightseers spot. It’s a local pub at the heart of the village community. So if you fancy a bite to eat, a drop to drink or a place to rest, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere. The food is classic country pub fayre, featuring classic English dishes with tasty touches.

Thursday Night is now Curry Night at the Ring of Bells, so please come along and enjoy a curry and a pint / glass of wine 175ml which is great value for money at only £7.50. Great atmosphere, food is served from 6-8 pm

Restaurant is open 12.00 noon - 2.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. - 9.00 p.m. 

Bar is open:

Mon – Fri             12noon – 3pm  and 5pm – 12midnight
Sat & Sun             12noon – 12midnight
Closed Wednesdays until 5pm

Children welcome.

Our menu also includes a selection of light bites ideal for lunchtime snacks.

Our specials board varies every week and is all homemade food.

Sunday lunch is a choice of two meats, three veg and roast potatoes.

The Music Quiz is being re-instated, starting this month. They will be held the last Friday of every month from 9pm, with the exception of October where there will not be one in preparation for the Halloween Disco on Saturday.

Dancing: Teignmouth and Torbay are only 10-15 minutes away. Plenty of night life to suit all ages.

Fishing: There are plenty of sea, river and trout fishing available locally.

Gardens: Patio area to the front of the pub.

Music: Live artists once or twice per month.

Swimming: All Torbay beaches are blue flag beaches. Squash: 5 minutes away at Broadmeadow Sports Club.

Tennis: Several courts around the area.

Walking: There are many walks of local interest. Also walks by local nature man, Brian Carter.

Watersports: Yachting, rowing, waterskiing, wind surfing.

Parking - Village car park 50 metres away.

Main access routes: The Ring of Bells is situated between the market town of Newton Abbot, and the town of Teignmouth. The Ring of Bells is in a village full of history, with the ruins of the Bishops Palace a main feature. Main access routes: The A380 is the closest main road. Railway Station at Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. Airport at Exeter 10 miles away.
